Fifty

For this week’s challenge, you must write a fifty-word story. Not five thousand, not five hundred, but precisely fifty words.


That face – he’d seen her before.  In his dreams… and in his nightmares.
She smiled and said hello; he played along.  “Hello.”
He was helpless to resist, even knowing the outcome.
She would break his heart and he would let her, just for the chance to be loved by her.
